Overview
Air Insulated Metal Enclosed Modular Switchgears consist of 4 main parts. The safety of these sections is ensured by switching and mechanical locking, and they are isolated from each other by transitions that provide continuity. They are produced for 12, 24 and 36 kV systems and can be supplied with different brand components if required.
Air Insulated Module Cell Sections
A — Main Busbar Section In the Main Busbar Section there are electrolytic coppers, insulators and bushings selected in accordance with the rated current. Access to this section requires special instructions and safety precautions.
B — Cable Connection Section The Cable Connection Section varies depending on the product type. Available equipment includes: - SF6 Gas Circuit Breaker - SF6 Gas Load Separator - SF6 Gas Separator - Voltage Transformer - Current Transformer - High Voltage Fuse - Capacitive Voltage Divider - Cable Connection System Equipment
C — Switching (Operating Mechanism) Section The section that allows close maneuvering of the switching equipment for opening and closing.
D — Low Voltage Section Contains all secondary circuits for control (measurement, protection, monitoring, communication and other related systems).
Maintenance and Control Armtek "ARME Series" offers more safety and maximum ease of maintenance. The production facilities are ISO-9001 certified and quality is assured with extensive design and production tests. The low voltage compartment provides sufficient space to easily test and replace internal cables. The independent busbar compartment is structured so that an incident in it does not affect adjacent panels, so it does not pose a risk during maintenance and control of other sections. Maintenance and control times are minimized thanks to the easy disassembly and assembly of all equipment.
Security Considerations Air Insulated Modular Switchgears are designed to prevent explosion or damage to peripheral devices in the event of internal arcing, providing a high degree of safety for the user and the environment. Short-circuit, short-time current and internal-arc tests have been carried out in accredited certified laboratories in accordance with IEC 62271-200. The IP3X protection class protects against the external environment. Mechanical locking and various precautions guard against incorrect use: the cell door cannot be opened without closing the grounding switch and turning the circuit breaker and disconnectors to the open position, and all maneuvers are disabled while the cell door is open. Mechanical interlocks connect the sections of the cell and the related cells, and the hinge and lock system forms a solid security wall against faulty operation. The IP observation window on the breaker door shows the breaker status, and the grounding key can be locked in accordance with isolation and line security.
Advantages - LSC2A maximum service continuity - Metal partitions grounded between compartments - Maximum human safety with AFL internal-arc test feature - Safe against operational errors with electrical and mechanical interlocks - Fast circuit breaking and easy maintenance with withdrawable-type SF6 breakers - Continuity in the grounding system - Capacity that can be increased at any time with the modular compact design - Tested for short-time withstand 16 kA / 1 s - Long operating life — 10,000 switching operations - Easy and safe use designed with all safety measures - After-sales service and spare parts availability
